A saved conversation records supported messages and tool activity from your agent. It gives reviewers context for a source change.
Your full conversation stays private. Sharing selects fixed events for a pull request.
Understand what is saved
Connect Claude Code or Codex and approve capture for your repository.
Capture starts in a local queue. The connector uploads a checkpoint’s events after Pillion confirms the pushed commit.
Later messages remain local until another checkpoint or an explicit save. An upload failure does not fail the source push.
Open Agent work and select a conversation. Check Capture details for unsupported fields or missing transcript records.
A conversation can contain messages, tool records, and links to pushed source. It does not capture hidden reasoning or running processes.
A conversation checkpoint links events to source. A task checkpoint can also retain selected files and context for recovery.
Keep private context under your control
Reading your full conversation requires your identity and current repository access. Repository read access alone does not expose your private conversation.
Capture filters known credential patterns. Review the content because ordinary text can still contain sensitive information.
Your agent’s model calls follow its configured provider and execution settings. Saving a conversation on Pillion does not change those settings.
Share selected events with a pull request
- Open your conversation from the repository’s Agent work page.
- Select Share.
- Enter the Pull request number.
- Set First event and Last event.
- Review the preview and select Share selected events.
Each shared range permits up to 100 events and 256 KiB. Select several ranges when the relevant context is larger.
The share records a fixed conversation revision. Later messages stay private unless you share them separately.
Current repository collaborators can read the shared events in the pull request’s Conversations panel.
A public pull request does not make shared conversation records public. Anonymous readers cannot read these records.
Review the context alongside the code
Use the conversation to understand instructions, attempts, and reported checks. Verify the diff and check results before approving the change.
Shared conversations remain linked after merge. Later edits to source do not replace the selected conversation revision.
Conversation history does not prove that a model followed every instruction. A recorded tool result is evidence for review, not automatic approval.
Export or fork saved history
Open More work actions → Export thread to export a saved conversation you can access.
Select Fork and a revision to copy saved history into a separate thread. This does not resume the source agent session.
Git export includes source history. It excludes private conversations and task context.
Read source export when you need a portable copy of your code.
Stop capture or delete saved records
Ask the Pillion skill to pause capture. Revoke the device in Connected devices to remove its access.
Select More work actions → Delete thread to delete a saved conversation and its descendant forks.
Deletion also removes its shared content. It does not delete repository source history.
Local queues and existing exports require separate deletion. Pillion cannot recover deleted conversation records.
